Special Needs Trust
A special needs trust is created by a parent, grandparent, or guardian in order to take care of a loved one under 65 who is disabled or mentally ill. This trust is used to supplement governmental help, such as SSI and Medicaid (Public Benefits). Funds from this trust are designed to enhance quality of life and can be used for things like vehicles, vacations, entertainment, and more.
